Executive Summary

Agriculture is one of the largest sources of livelihood of its


population. It is the component of domestic products and touches
almost every sphere of economic policies. Approximately, 58% of
Indian population is dependent on agriculture.
Our E-Farming portal would help in integrating the agricultural
community together for better production planning and doing the
agribusiness online through internet in which the parties are
interacted electronically rather than physical exchanges or direct
physical contract.
Moreover, it would help in promoting the regional economy &
commerce and increasing the regional sales by enabling the local
producers to reach out together states in India.
Problem
• India’s food production & productivity is declining whereas its
food consumption is increasing
• There is lack of provision in timely and adequate inputs such as
fertilizers, seeds, pesticides and by making available affordable
agricultural credit /crop insurance for increasing the production
and ensuring the food and nutritional security to the Nation
• Marketing of the agriculture is not satisfactory
• Non providing of fair prices to farmers for their crops
• Supply channel bottlenecks and lack of market understanding
Solutions
Our E-farming portal would make relevant information and
services to the farming community and private sector through the
use of information and communication technologies, to
supplement the existing delivery channels.
It will provide the one stop shop for meeting all informational
needs relating to Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries
sectors production, sale/storage of an Indian farmer. With this
Indian Farmer will not be required to sift through maze of websites
created for specific purposes.

Market Size
• Gross Value Added by agriculture, forestry and fishing was found to
be Rs 18.53 trillion 2018
• Food grain production was estimated to be 284.83 million tonnes in
2017-2018 and 285.2 million tonnes in 2018-2019.
• India is the second largest fruit producer in the world. Production of
horticulture crops is estimated at record 314.7 million tonnes (mt) in
2018-19 as per third advance estimates.
• India is also the largest producer, consumer and exporter of spices, &
tea products.
• Food & Grocery retail market in India was worth US$ 380 billion in
2017

the farmers to get better prices & ensure consistent demand. In
addition, we help the retail source fresh fruits & vegetables directly
from farmers at competitive prices
Our E-Farming Module
This E-Farming Java Project has the major modules below:
Admin:
Admin should be able to see all record from any users. The records shown for
selling should be available in a format of Quantity name, Quantity available,
price. The database should be robust enough to handle all the online
transactions which will be happening parallel.
Users:
People can register on the site for some basic e-learning like if some user
wants to learn how to operate a computer, they can go and learn about it
from the site. The site should also be available in local languages as per
States.
Computer professionals:
Automatic transfer of emails to company’s computer professional if some
user enrolled for basic course There should be a facility of scheduling classes
for farmers who enrolled for basic courses.

Seller:
The seller can fill the registration form and get his credentials. All the details
of the product will be uploaded by the seller. Seller will fix the rates of the
products. The seller can view the result page. Seller will add the details of
the item. The seller can update the details of the item.

Buyer:
Buyer will get the username and password by filling the registration form.
Buyer will view all the details of the product. Buyer will see the list of
products that he want to buy. Buyer can view the sales rate details.

Management

Register: The farmer can perform the general registration to access as


registered farmer.
Login: After completing registration farmer needs to login part to perform
the necessary actions.
Add Product and Farming Comments: Farmer can add product add
manufacturer of the product. Farmer can also comment about each product.
Edit Farmer’s Profile: The farmer can edit his profile. The farmer can update
their name, and contact details.
Sell Product: The farmer can sell all the products online which he added.

Management

Customer can perform following function:


Register: The Customer can perform the general registration to have an
access as registered customer.
Login: After completing registration customer login to perform necessary job.
Add to Cart: Customer can product to cart even they are not registered but
they cannot pay the bill. Only a registered customer can avail the payment
option.
Payment: The customer can buy the product from website and pay online or
cash
