Please take note of the following before

proceeding with the needed maintenance:

• Always shut down the computer properly.


• Unplug all connections from the computer unit.
• Before doing any preventive maintenance, be sure
that all important data as well as files are backed-up
and secured first.

• Preventive maintenance of the below could be done by checking them physically
and by cleaning them by using a soft clean cloth, a paint brush and if needed a non

abrasive liquid.

Preventive maintenance of the
Operating System of the unit.
• Be sure that the updates for the OS as well as
antivirus are done and scheduled.
• Updates are applied to correct and fixed
vulnerabilities and loopholes found on the unit
OS that might get exploited by unscrupulous
hackers. Updates on antivirus are delivered to
stop new variants of virus found.
• Do a quarterly HDD cleanup like scandisk and
defragging.

Removing the Side Panel of the unit
1. Remove the two thumb screws located on the rear edge
of the side panel.
2. Using one hand push the black lever down fully to release the lock
(encircled in blue).
3. Then pull the side panel on the direction indicated, then you would
have accessed to the inside of the unit.
4. Set the side panel aside.
How to Replaced Memory

• Press the holding clips of DIMM


slot on the direction indicated to
release the DIMM.
• Gently have it pulled up.

Common problems related to


memory that could be resolve by
re-socketing.
• Continuous beeping sound.
• No Display.
• Some hanging and some blue
screen errors.
How to Removed the Hard Disk

1. Disconnect the data and power cables


first .

2. How to remove the HDD bracket?


a. Press the bracket green lever on the
direction indicated to release locks
then gently pull the HDD.
4. How to remove the HDD from the bracket.

a. Pull one side of the bracket in the direction indicated until the locking
mechanism is out, freeing the HDD then have it pulled in the indicated
direction.
How to removed the Optical Drive

1. Disconnect the data and power cables first.


3. Slide two locking mechanism fully on the direction
indicated where the ODD is located .

4. Then Push the of the optical drive in the direction indicated.


Removing the VGA Card
1. Gently pull the green locking mechanism on the direction indicated
to release the lock.

2. Press the lock on the direction


indicated to release the video card.

3. Gently pull the video card upward .


Some Troubleshooting and Maintenance Tips
1. Please check for LED errors on the front panel, which might indicate the
specific malfunction that had occurred.
2. Make sure that the airflow of the cooling fans as well as unit fans are not
obstructed and blocked.
3. Check for loose screws and the like that might have been causing short circuit
that is preventing the unit from turning on.
4. Hanging may be caused by viruses and corrupted files that might brought the
unit down any time. It is recommended that we backup our all important files
regularly, because the only solution might be to restore the OS using the
recovery DVDs created. This might erase all previously saved file inside the
unit’s HDD.

Power System Check


If the system would not power on please do the following:
• Check the power cables are properly connected to the system as
well as to AC source.
• Try using a known good outlet.
• Try also using a known good power cable.
