ALUMNI PORTAL
Innovative, unconventional and consistent efforts are required to increase alums’
usage of the alumni portal and for the portal to become a preferred option over
Yahoo groups
• The portal can host weekly/monthly podcasts allowing both ManDevIans and students from
other business schools access to these podcasts, the topic of discussion of which can be decided
via polls and crowd sourced in addition to consulting with the alumni.
• We can also have official MDI blog posts on the portal where alumni can write weekly columns
talking about their industries, sectors, companies, MBA life and even about things like the
effects of changing geo-political situations on business and career advice.
• The traffic from the Yahoo group can be diverted to the portals by proving a chat window on the
portal itself
• We can create a provision in the portal where services or informal help can be offered for and by
our entrepreneurial alumni which can include refining business models, helping with the proof
of concept, creating prototypes, helping with strong industry connections and any technical or
business related help which might be needed for or by our alumni
