 Sec. 16 of IRR of RA 10742
Privileges of SK officials
All SK officials in good standing, whether elected or appointed
shall, during their incumbency:
(1) Be exempt from payment of tuition and matriculation fees
while enrolled in any public tertiary school including state
colleges and universities and those locally funded public
educational institutions within or nearest their area of
jurisdiction. x x x

Tertiary Education Act (RA 10931)
Tertiary education refers to the stage of
education following the secondary cycle
which covers post-secondary non-degree
diploma , Technical-Vocational Education
and Training (TVET), and higher education
programs including graduate education.

is our considered view that the
coverage of the Sangguniang
Kabataan scholarship includes
graduate education / Master’s
Degree taken in State Colleges /
Universities and those locally
funded education institutions
within or nearest their area of
