CAR is an administrative region in the
Philippines situated within the island
of Luzon. The only landlocked region
in the insular country, it is bordered
by the Ilocos Region to west and
southwest, and by the Cagayan Valley
Region to the north, east, and
southeast.
Ulalim
are ballads that narrate the
heroic exploits of culture
heroes which also emphasize
the bravery and pride of the
Kalinga people.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Apayao - Ilocos Norte Road - As a
lateral road, the highway is a
significant element of the Cordillera
Roads Improvement Project
(CRIP), connecting Northern
Cordillera to the Ilocos Region.
CULTURE
The Bontoc Museum, run by
the Sisters of the Immaculate
Heart of Mary, hosts many of
the materials used by the
different Ethnic Tribes in the
Mountain Province.
TOURISM
The Banaue Rice Terraces (Filipino:
Hagdan-hagdang Palayan ng
Banawe) are terraces that were
carved into the mountains of Ifugao
in the Philippines by the ancestors
of the indigenous people.
