MASONRY FINISH

SPECIFICATION AND CONTRACT


Stucco Finish

• The contractor shall furnish all materials, tools, &


equipment in accordance with the general conditions,
plans and specifications.

• Wetted with clean water before application of scratch coat.

a. Acoustical treatment – 1:3 by volume (cement :
acoustical fiber)

b. w/o acoustical treatment - 1:2 (cement : marble dust) if
white cement is used; 1:2:1/2 (cement : washed sand : lime) if gray
cement is used

3. Basis of Payment
The work quantified and determined shall be paid for the
contract unit price constitute full compensation for all stucco finish
necessary to complete this item.
B GRANOLITHIC MARBLE FINISH
5B-1 GRANOLITHIC MARBLE FINISH
a. 30cm x 30cm granolithic marble flooring – for approval of
Architect for its color, texture, finish and materials.
b. Marble Chips or Granules – must be standard quarry products
c. Portland Cement – Type I
d. Divider strips shall be brass angle type of 3 mm thickness
spaced at 60 cm.
5B-2 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS
A. Curing.
1. Place the granolithic mix and trowel to level surface. Troweled surface shall be
seeded with additional chips if required.
B. Curing
The Granolithic topping – cured 6 days before grinding
C. Surfacing
1. Surface must be wetted and grinded with electric grinding machine to smooth
and even surface.
2. Must be shard rubbed manually using No. 24 abrasive grit stone rubbing.
3. Grout shall remain on the surface until the time of final grinding and cleaning

D. Finishing
1. After 72 hour remove the grout coat, clean, and fine stone grinding by
electric grinding machine using no coarser than No. 80 abrasive grit.
2. Final grinding or rubbing of granolithic marble surface shall remove
scratches after and produce a true plane surface of uniform color and texture
without objectionable irregularities of any description as that of the approved
samples.
3. Cleaning, Waxing and Polishing. Upon completion of final grinding or
rubbing of granolithic marble the Contractor shall apply two coats of natural wax
penetrating type. Surface shall be allowed to dry and polished.
5B-3 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT

1. All granolithic marble finish indicated on the plans and


described herein shall be measured in square and lineal meter
or part thereof for work completed and accepted to the
satisfaction of the supervising Architect or Engineer.
2. The quantified area determined in the preceding section ad
provided in the Bill of quantities shall be paid for at the Unit Bid
or Contract Unit Price.
