Hip Hop
● The Hip Hop routines consist of hard hitting movements, crowd pleasers and tricks such as head
springs and kip ups.
● Usually, the music is mix or mashup of multiple songs.

● Pom routines are fast paced arm movements often done in a visual way with synchronized arm
motions.
● Arm movements are very specific.
● Performers hold pom poms throughout the entire routine.

Take Your Corners Game
1. Choose your favorite type of dance.
2. In the notes packet, write down three reasons as to why you think this type of
dance is the best.
3. Go to the corner of the room that represents your favorite style of dance.
4. Talk to your group and discuss why you all chose that type of dance as your
favorite.
5. Choose one person to present your corner.
