The core of the basic belief & doctrines of

taoism:
Tao is the origin & law of all things in the universe. Taoists
believes that people can become deities or live forever through
practicing certain rituals & austerities.
 Taoists focus on living a simple and balanced life in harmony
with nature. This is one of the most important principles in
Taoism.
 The rituals involve the priest( and assistants) in changing and
playing instruments ( particularly wind & percussion), and
also dancing.
 The heart of Taoist ritual is the concept of bringing order &
harmony to many layers of the cosmos: THE COSMOS AS A
WHOLE (The World of Nature), the world or human society, &
the inner world of human individuals.
