• Connect with someone who has the position you want to learn
more about it

• Specifically for Cal Poly students


• Less success
• Good for the EVENTS page, getting face to face is important
– Career fairs, workshops and company specific informational
events
– Info events are so underrated
• Quick Apply-again like slot machines but takes 4 seconds
GOOGLE JOBS
• Less accurate than LinkedIn jobs
• Can have different results
• Better for company specific
• Turn on notifications
CAREER FAIR
• Same day interviews
• Research open positions before talking to
employers so you don’t waster your time
• Talking to recruiters is like recruitment--mutual
selection
• Junior recruiters are easier to “trick”
