Introduction
Buildings have significant
impact on energy use
and environment. The
commercial and
residential buildings use
almost 40% and 70% of
the primary energy and
electricity respectively.
The Zero Energy Building
is not a product or
technology but rather a
combination of closely
integrated evolving
technologies.
What is Zero
Energy Building.
• A zero energy building Is
a building with zero net
energy consumption.
• Amount of energy
generated is more than
consumed.
• Contribute less amount of
greenhouse gas.
• Reduced carbon
emissions and
dependence on fossil
fuels.
Need for Zero Energy Building
• Vertical Garden
It helps to reduce the carbon
footprint of a building by filtering
pollutants and carbon dioxide out of
the air which improves the air
quality for the benefit of those
living nearby.
