IN
CLASSROOM
A REPORT BY ANGELO TESORO
Motivation in a classroom set up is
really a must for everyone of us. A
simple motivational message or
actions from your classmates can
change almost everything you do
in your life.. But before we go any
further, allow us to share more
about the concept of “Motivation
in Classroom.”
THE MAIN IDEA OF
MOTIVATION
Is to capture the
attention and curiosity of
students, it also serves as a
channel towards the progress
of a student learning.
WHY MOTIVATION IS IMPORTANT IN
CLASSROOM?
• Being motivated is really important especially to us
students, students who are highly motivated can learn
faster and better.
• It gives harmony and peace towards others.
• By this we can also easily facilitate the learning
process of a student.
• It makes them more eager and willing to give their
full interest and to learn more with their subject
matter.
• By motivating our friends and classmates we are
making HUGE help for our society to be an
instrument to lessen the numbers of people especially
the teenagers experiencing Depression.
TYPES OF MOTIVATION THAT
SUPPORTS STUDENTS
1.Intrinsic Motivation
2. Extrinsic Motivation
3. Parental Awareness
Intrinsic Motivation
• It’s a motivation within the student to
engage in an activity for his/her own
sake because it’s interesting and
satisfying for himself.
• A intrinsically motivated student
studies because he really wanted to
study
• Is also never misses home works and
looks up information by himself.
• A intrinsic student never give up or
say I didn’t understand without doing
nothing but instead he/she will just
say “ I will give it a try.”
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION
Students who struggle with class work can sometimes feel frustrated and
get down on themselves, draining motivation. In these situations it’s
critical that teachers help students to learn exactly where they went
wrong and how they can improve next time. Figuring out a method to
get where students want to be can also help them to stay motivated to
work hard.
KNOW YOUR STUDENTS
Knowing your students is about more than just memorizing their
names. Students need to know that their teacher has a genuine
interest in them and cares about them not just with their success
but also helping them when they’re facing difficulties in life such
as bullying, depression and anxiety. When students feel
appreciated it creates a safe learning environment and motivates
them to work harder, as they want to get praise and good
feedback from someone they feel knows and respects them as
individuals.
