The absolute value of a number x can be defined as
the distance of these numbers to the point 0 on the
number line, with no attention to him. This means | x |
= 5 has two selesaian, because there are two numbers

(B). 𝑖𝑓 𝑓 𝑥 = 𝑔 𝑥 , 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑓 𝑥 = 𝑔 𝑥 𝑜𝑟 𝑓 𝑥 = −𝑔 𝑥
example:
Determine the value of x that satisfies the following equation!
1. 2𝑥 − 5 = 3
2. 2𝑥 − 4 = 𝑥 − 1
completion:
1. By using properties 1 (b), the obtained settlement:
2𝑥 − 5 = 3 ⟹ 2𝑥 − 5 = 3 or 2𝑥 − 5 = −3

2. By using properties 2 (a), the obtained settlement:

The nature of the Absolute Value Equation

If X is a form of algebra and k is a positive real number,

then | X | = K would imply X = -k or X = k.
As stated in absolute value equation properties, these
properties can only be implemented once we isolate the
absolute value symbols in one segment. For more details
see the following example.
Example 1:
Solve the equation: -5 | x - 7 | + 2 = -13.
Discussion First, we isolation absolute value, which is making the absolute value symbols are in
one segment while the other tribes we put in the other segments.

Now note that the x - 7 is an "X" on the nature of the absolute value equation, so

Multiplication nature of Absolute Value Equation
If A and B are forms of algebra, then | AB | = | A || B |.

Determine of the equation: | -2x | + 5 = 13.
