Hadoop Map-Reduce
The genomic sequence in chromosome consists of
ATCG base pairs which are arranged in a certain
sequence, and duplication/deletion/addition in this gives
rise to structural variations. Algorithms like CNV-CH give
traditional approaches to detect these segments in
sequence, but implementing Map-Reduce to break down
the millions of chromosome data into splits and
processing in different processors drastically reduces
the time complexity, thereby helping in early detection.
Machine Learning
If we train a model extensively with data, denoting
structural variation areas in the sequence, the machine
can accurately predict if that sample has any
abnormality to be addressed. This further reduces the
diagnosis time along with improved efficiency.
Other Recommendations:
• Use targeted digital marketing to reduce
customer acquisition costs
• Digitize information intensive processes like
insurance claims processing and collections
• Optimize supply chain for value based care
by implementing tools that will ensure greater
efficiency
• Lowering staffing cost by using scheduling
apps to combat unexcepted patient volume
or gaps in shift coverage
• Automating administrative tasks, freeing
physicians to spend more time with patients.
