Genetic engineering refers to the direct manipulation of
DNA to alter an organism’s characteristics (phenotype) in a
particular way.
Biotechnology is the biology involving living systems and
organisms to develop or make products, or "any
technological application that uses biological systems, living
organisms, or derivatives thereof, to make or modify
products or processes for specific use.
 Aim:

• “ Health is wealth” is a famous saying that refers to the

importance of health to us and reveals that health is wealth, if
we are not healthy wealth means nothing to us. In case of
Sickness, medicine can improve our mood ,it helps in
relieving pain and make healthy.
• To create a generic awareness which include training institute,
workshops, hospital and research in genetics.
• “BIOTECH FOUNDATION” was set up for promoting Education,
Training and Research in Genetics and Biotechnology.
• The aim is to design a bio tech park with a good built
environment for integrated biotechnology hub, comprising an
integrated cluster of research laboratories and workshop &
training institute, hospital.

Objectives:
• To bring awareness among people residing about generic
diseases i.e, asthma, cancer, skin diseases and to focus on
design which relates the hospital, research laboratories and
institutional building.
• By creating the design of generic centre inaccordance with
human comfort which maintenance the health level or
conditions stable.
• By desinging generic hospital with relaxing spaces inresponse
to the patients mentalities.
• By contacting schedule health awareness and by giving
regular training classes for students inorder to dicrease the
generic diseases for children.
• Creating network of public open spaces.
• Creating a connecting flow between the blocks involved
in the generic campus paves way for the good surrounding
easy accessibility from one block to another block.

Understand the thesis issues :

• Due to lack of generic centre ,generic institute and
awareness camp based on genetical diseases,the current city
is get polluted by industrial pollution.
• Due to lack of adequate hospitals based on only generic
diseases at the city centre,makes the city vibrant.
NEED FOR THE PROJECT:

The major objective of the EDUCATION GENERIC Division is to
organize training courses and workshop.

3. HOSPITAL GENERIC DIVISION:

Hospital is based on generic disordered persons and general
patients.

4. COMMUNITY GENERIC DIVISION:

Community Pharmacy is a term globally used to denote
the pharmacy setup where pharmacist comes directly in contact
with the patients.

5. REGULATORY AFFAIRS DIVISION :

The Regulatory Affairs Division is to participate in the
legislation related activities which govern all aspects of drugs,
Research, Quality Control, Sales Manufacturing and Distribution
of drugs etc.
“BIOTECH FOUNDATION” was set up for promoting Education,
Training and Research in Genetics and Biotechnology.
Scope:
• Most of people in this area are get affect by asthma,
pneumoconiosis, silicosis and lung cancer. due to industrial
pollution and industrail waste drained into the neigh bouring
river which get contaminated and causes to water pollution
which affects the people surrounded by the river.

• Due to this above caused diseases it gets spread out

all over the city. so by giving generic centre in mid of the
tuticorin helps people to crue the generic diseases as easlier.

• Most of the people residing near the industrial area/

zone are get affected by pollution and causes genetical
diseases which some times leads to genetical disorder
even for new born babies.
• The increased prevalence rate of asthma and respiratory
infections are due to the air pollution caused by industries.
• Genetic research is indispensable in the ever challenging
fields of diagnosis and treatment of genetic disorders,
infectious diseases and non communicable diseases.

Justification of the area:
• TUTICORIN, The bulk industries capital of india, accounts for
almost 30% of industrial products(Salt pans,shipping, fishing,
power and chemical industries.) import and exports from india.
The increased prevalence rate of asthma and respiratory
infections are due to the air pollution caused by industries.
• Industrial pollution in Thoothukudi as a major cause for
various health issues. Respondents of the study had various
health issues like skin diseases, eye irritation , Asthma,
Allergy, Respiratory problems, Cancer & Hypertension. .The
study also observed that Industrial disposals and other
chemical contaminates that enter waterways through
agricultural runoff, storm water drains, and industrial
discharges.
• The endocrine disrupters reduced the fertility and increased
the occurrence of still births, birth defects, and hormonally
dependent Cancers such as breast, testicular, and prostate
cancers.
• More people suffering from Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT)
disorders near the factory. Among the ENT diseases,
pharyngitis and sinusitis were very high. “Climatic conditions
and atmospheric pollution could be the cause for the
prevalence of ENT morbidity,”
• “Women in the area had more menstrual disorders, like
menorrhagiae and dysmenorrhagiae. .
Area of study approach:
• My approach to this site is of genetic centre inorder to
cure the genetical centre to bring awareness among men,
women and childrens to get pervent the increased of
affected people due to the generic diseases.
