BEING A LEADER

• Being a leader is not just about holding an important position, but in carrying the amanah
or trust, the leader will be held accountable to Allah (SWT). In carrying out the nation-
building agenda, leaders must be proactive and innovative in their approach to ensure that
the objectives are achieved. For leaders, the positions that they have today must be
considered as great responsibilities that need to be shouldered with integrity, enthusiasm
and dignity.
NUR MISUARI

• He is a Moro revolutionary and


politician, founder and leader of
the Moro National Liberation Front.

• He helped establish the Mindanao


Independence Movement which aimed to
organize an independent state in southern
Philippines. The Mindanao Independence
Movement formed the Moro National
Liberation Front (MNLF) that sought
political reforms from the government of
the Philippines.
ESMAEL MANGUDADATU

• Esmael "Toto" Mangudadatu (born August 15,


1968) is a former governor of Maguindanao in
the Philippines. He currently serves as
Representative of the Second District of
Maguindanao in the House of Representatives of
the Philippines since June 30, 2019

• He was elected and became a provincial board


member. He went on to become Mayor of
Buluan and after he reached his term limit
became Vice Mayor. In 2009 he decided to
challenge the Ampatuan clan's heir apparent in
the election for governor of Maguindanao
province.
MURAD EBRAHIM

•Ahod Balawag Ebrahim better known as Al-Hajj Murad


Ebrahim (born 15 May 1949) is the current chairman of
the southern Philippines' Islamist group, the Moro Islamic
Liberation Front (MILF) and the interim Chief Minister of
the newly formed Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in
Muslim Mindanao. He is one of the key persons in the
Bangsamoro Peace Process in the Philippines.

• He served as Vice Chair for Military Affairs and as Chief


of Staff of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces, the
armed wing of the MILF before he was appointed as
MILF chairman in mid-2003 to replace MILF founder
Salamat who died within the same year. He also served
as the group's chief negotiator in talks with the
Philippine national government.
MUJIV HATAMAN

• Mujiv Sabbihi Hataman is a Filipino


politician serving as Representative of the
Lone District of Basilan in the House of
Representatives of the Philippines since
June 30, 2019.

• He served as the last Regional Governor of the


Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Hataman earlier represented the Anak
Mindanao party-list in Congress from 2001 to
2010.
MAMINTAL ADIONG JR.

• Mamintal Alonto Adiong Jr. is the present


governor of the Province of Lanao del Sur. He
was born to a powerful political family, and so
was raised in local Lanao del Sur politics.

• On 2006,Adiong Jr. was named as member of the


government panel's Coordinating Committee on
Cessation of Hostilities, representing the
business community of the Autonomous Region
in Muslim Mindanao-Social Fund Project (ARMM-
SFP).
