LARANGAN. EACH GROUP WILL CREATE THEIR VLOG OR VIDEO
THAT FOCUSES ON THE GOOD QUALITIES AND CERTAIN
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PLACE THEY HAVE CHOSEN. IN
RELATION TO YOUR VIDEO, THE SUBJECT PERSONAL
DEVELOPMENT WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA AND

Steps in Developing a Career Plan
1. Define where you are now. What is your present situation?
Make an inventory of the following:
• Personal Core Values
• Skills and Abilities
• Personality Traits and Characteristics
• Strengths and Challenges
• Self-efficacy or Self-confidence
• Personal Factors affecting your Career Choice
• External Factors affecting your Career Choice
• Life Goals
• Things you are passionate about

2. What is out there?

• Research on the list of CHED priority courses and TESDA priority industries and occupations.
• Reflect on the results of your RIASEC assessment
• Research on the course you are interested in and the list of subjects offered.
• Research on school that offer the course you are most interested in.
 3. Conduct Consultations
• Consult your parents about your thoughts on your career plans. Have your
parents write a message of response or feedback and let them sign.
• Talk to one of your teachers to get feedback on what they think about the
possible career, course, and school you are considering. Write their
feedback and have he/she sign it after.
4. Validate your preferences with your personal core values
• Reflect on your personal core values alongside your preference. Answer the
following questions: Are they aligned or will there be some future conflict
that will make you unhappy? What are the gaps or disagreements between
your values and your career preferences?
• Are your preferences aligned with your life goals? What are the
disagreements or discrepancies? What could be the causes of
disagreements?
5. Craft your career statement
• Make a declaration for yourself that states your career objectives and what
elements should be present to make your objectives achievable.
• Make a schedule of activities that leads to the fulfillment of these
objectives.
