How to utilize the 980G/H and 988G/H Builder G3 example files
The Builder G3 Repair Options files were
created to support the customer-facing
“Repair Options Spec Sheets”.
Repair Option screen:

Repair Options for Engine Recondition

- The RO screen contains every repair option

available (for this project) for a given model.
- Highlight any RO to see the total parts price
for that specific RO, and also view the
estimated labor hours.

- Engine R&I is a separate RO in order to easily accommodate quoting with or without the dealer completing the R&I

- The Engine Recondition Level 1 RO is the base level repair that is sold. This particular RO has Job Operations that break the repair down into
more detailed segments, which will be explained in more detail a following slide.

- All other RO’s shown are Level 2 add-on options that correspond to the Repair Option Spec Sheet. These are available as an ala carte format,
per each customer’s requirements. “Level 4: Replace with Cat Reman” and “Level 5: Replace with Cat New” are also shown below.

The Job Operations for the Engine Recondition Level 1 break

down all standard parts for that particular repair option. The
operations are broken down into logical steps by major
components, and/or to facilitate finding specific
hardware/gaskets/components/etc. More detail of what
components are included in each specific JO can be found in
the Repair Option Build Rules.

**All Repair Options include a GBOM (General Bill Of Material) in order to provide a price for initial quoting.
Except for two L2 Repair Options, obtaining the RO cost is as simple as highlighting the desired Repair Option.

- When pricing the Level 2 “Cyl Head Assy Replace with New/Reman”, or “Piston
& Liner Replace With New/Reman” as an option on the Engine Recondition Level
1 RO, the quoter must add the L2 RO to the price of the Engine Recondition L1,
and then highlight the L1 version of the L2 RO to see the parts cost, and subtract
that from the sum of the L1 Engine Recondition and L2 RO. See Example:
