What is RTLS?
 Real time location tracking system (RTLTS) is a system that uses
electronic systems to locate people or things by means of small
electronic devices installed on, implanted in or carried by people or
objects. This is done in an attempt to determine the real-time
identity and/or location of a person or object, either continually or
when the tracking device is interrogated.1

 Real time location system can be :-

• Outdoor tracking
• Indoor tracking
 Indoor tracking include tracking of person/assets in a closed area
i.e. Schools,Hospitals,Office and etc.
 Outdoor tracking include tracking of vehicle/person on a open area
i.e. Road,Railway and etc.

Implementation flow:-
Device is installed inside the vehicle.

Device is located by satellite via GPS

GPS value is sent to server via Wi-Fi.

Server stores the data.

User can log-on website to monitor.

How does GPS-WIFI based RTLTS works?
 GPS (Global positioning system) Module:-It helps to pin-point the location
of person who carries device or vehicle on which device is implanted.
 GPS provide the accurate latitude and longitude with the help of 21
satellites with 3 operational spares . It locate the precise location on
principle of Trilateration.
 The location obtained is in form of latitude longitude ,which is no used
for user. The data obtain can be decoded through GPRMC&GPGGA
decoder.
 This data is transferred to server via WIFI.
 The WIFI module is interfaced with GPS module through
Controller/Processor.
 User can access the data/location information by log-in through unique
password which make system reliable and secure.

 HOSPITAL APPLICATION:-Ambulances tracking for better and efficient
management.
 BANK APPLICATION:-For tracking the vehicle used for refill the money in ATM
to increase security and safety.
