Introduction
• Location: Jewar (56 km. from Noida. 72from IGI airport),Uttar Pradesh
• Authorities/organizations involved:
YEIDA: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, UP Gov. ,
Ministry of Defence , Ministry of Civil Aviation(MoCA). Etc.
• Phase 1 expected cost of construction: 6000 Cr.+
• Estimated Passenger capacity : 10-12 M.P.A (phase 1) to 60 MPA over 30
yr. of expansion
• Phase 1 expected completion: 2023-2024
• Area Statement:Site area Req.-5000 ha. :Airport :1500 ha. :Acquired land
:l 1000 ha.

• 2001-Stage 1 proposal as Greenfields Taj International Aviation Hub
• 2003-Technofeasibility report passed
• 2008-GMR Protested against the project
• 2012-Project shelved
• 2014-Project reinitiated
• 2015-MoCA passes the intial proposal
• 2016-Ministry of defence approves the project
• 2018-MoCA approved Construction process
