What is It is derived from three Korean words:


Taekwondo?
 Tae (Tai) – means to kick and
destroy with the foot or feet.
 Kwon (Kwun) – means to punch
and smash with the hands of fists.
 Do (Du) – means the art, methods
and way.
• It is an Korean unarmed martial arts that has
been in existence for more than 2000 years
under the Silla Dynasty.

• TAEKYON was the first name of the arts


which means foot movement.
