Introduction

• Workplace aggression can include a


wide range of behaviors, ranging
from verbal acts to physical attacks
Workplace aggression is defined as
act of aggression, "any physical
assault, threatening or coercive
behavior that causes physical or
emotional harm in a work setting."

• 1. People spend a lot of their


time in office.
• 2. Relationships tend to form
wherever a person spends a
great deal of time.
• 3. The professional
atmosphere of most
workplaces makes emotional
expression unacceptable.

the organization .
Employees unsafe and worried

the situation, employees might
feel the organization doesn’t
value them and resign instead
of confronting the behavior.
Steps for the Prevention of Workplace
Aggression

• It’s important that employers


acknowledge workplace
aggression and take immediate
steps to stop it. If they don’t,
employees who act out
aggressively know they won’t
be held accountable for their
behavior.
