For Those Who Run Part 11

• Memorization helps us stretch our minds, and
permanently plants godly ideas so that in times of
stress we can reach in and grab them for a life line……
• If it matters to me… It matters to Him…
• God doesn’t hide things from me … He hides things for
me….
• Jesus is the solution to the problem, mine, yours and
ours…….
• God will contend with them, that contend with
me…………
• I want to take a few minutes this morning to
re-affirm exactly where we are going. I want to
make sure that while anointed preaching
leaves us with thoughts and biblical phrases
that remain with us through the week. The
intention is to paint a word picture based on
the entire scope of message.
• Please answer these questions in your mind in
the affirmative or the negative….
• The title of this series of sermons is Cultural
Catastrophe….
• Has this culture influenced my attitude and
actions or the way that I respond to situations of
my life?
• Has this culture infiltrated the church in these
responses and idealisms?
• Is the church in the middle of a “remnant” call
from God ?
• Can I identify, in my life, the ways that I am
responding to this call ?
• What are they?
• Last week we spoke about “mountains” or
thoughts, actions that have become
entrenched both in our lives and the church. I
brought to your remembrance that when God
says it is enough, it is enough.
• Jeremiah 29
• 4Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are
carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away
from Jerusalem unto Babylon;
• 5Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat
the fruit of them;
• 6Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives
for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they
may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there,
and not diminished.
• 7And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be
carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the
peace thereof shall ye have peace.
• 8For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your
prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive
you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be
dreamed.
• 9For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent
them, saith the LORD.
• 10For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be
accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good
word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
• 11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
• So shall my word be that goeth forth out of

my mouth: it shall not return unto me void,

but it shall accomplish that which I please, and
it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
• Captivity is over, the return is on, and Jesus is
coming…….
• God is thinking about me, I am going to start
thinking about Him………..
• Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper
than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart.
• His word will never return without accomplishing that
which it was sent to do, we need to align our thoughts
with His thoughts, otherwise it will be revealed by the
Spirit of His word……..
Vision, the ability to see things the way that
God sees them…
We spoke last week about the return in the days
of Zerrubabel, Ezra, Nehemiah….

• This vision that we have been preaching about
must be explained one step further. Our vision
of the Victory Christian Center is not outside
of the revealed will of God for the Church.
• This is a true statement and I want you to
embrace it this morning.
• People believe in the leader before they
believe in the vision…..
• This is what has made our time so
treacherous, people aren’t examining the
vision, if they were they would run in many
cases because it doesn’t align with the Truth.
• People are following a “leader” and because
they believe in the man first, they then
embrace the vision.
• John 17
• 4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest
me to do.
• 5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I
had with thee before the world was.
• 6I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the
world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
• 7Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of
thee.
• 8For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have
received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have
believed that thou didst send me.
• 9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given
me; for they are thine.
• Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me,
the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works
than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
• I believe in our Leader, and I believe in His vision, that
is why I want to get involved in His work
• 2 Thessalonians 2:7
“ The mystery of iniquity doth already work,
• And I say it is time for the church to go to work…
• Remnant Return always involves an “ adjustment” where drift has
occurred from the original vision….
• Nehemiah 13
• 1On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of
the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite
and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God
for ever;
• 2Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with
water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them:
howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.
• 3Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they
separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.
• 6But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and
thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the
king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:
• 7And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that
Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the
courts of the house of God.
• 8And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the

grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into
Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day
wherein they sold victuals.
• 16There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all
manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah,
and in Jerusalem.
• 17Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them,
What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?
• 18Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil
upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by
profaning the sabbath.
• In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives

of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:

• 24And their children spake half in the speech of
Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language,
but according to the language of each people.
• 25And I contended with them, and cursed them, and
smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and
made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give
your daughters unto their sons, nor take their
daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.
• Remember them, O my God, because they

have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant

of the priesthood, and of the Levites.
• 30Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and
appointed the wards of the priests and the
Levites, every one in his business;
• Up until this time I have basically dwelt on the
emotional mountains that captivate and
distract our people. There is substantial
healing inside the church for these mountains.
• I want to move on to the cultural impact that

this system has created mountains for the
believer to siege and scale to destroy.
• Mountains of Influence in our culture that need

• Church Nature of the Spiritual
• Education
• Business
• Government Revelation 5: 9,10
• Science
• Entertainment
• Covenant

• 23And Adam said, This is now bone of my
bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called
Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
• 24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his
mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they
shall be one flesh.

angels of God in heaven.
• Why is the solidarity of marriage so
important?
• Why do we concentrate on the structure of
the family so heavily?

unto the Lord.
• 23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as
Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of
the body.
• 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let

the church, and gave himself for it;
• 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the
washing of water by the word,

• 32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and
the church.
• Marriage is therefore a spiritual system that depends on covenant.
• Not to rob a woman of her identity
• Not to give men a right to abuse their place
• But a system to reflect the nature of Christ and the church in the
spiritual realm.
• Marriages have to align themselves with the Word so that the
Church can be seen in its proper perspective. Covering,
Protection, Intimacy, Submission…
• You will notice that the same problems the natural marriage is
experiencing, the spiritual union of Christ and the Church is
experiencing.

with your whining and sniveling because you don't get what
you want from God. Do you know why? Simple. Because God
was there as a witness when you spoke your marriage vows to
your young bride, and now you've broken those vows, broken
the faith-bond with your vowed companion, your covenant
wife. God, not you, made marriage. His Spirit inhabits even the
smallest details of marriage. And what does he want from
marriage? Children of God, that's what. So guard the spirit of
marriage within you. Don't cheat on your spouse.
