solar cells”(2010)

1.1 These cells are most efficient

1.2 In this approach the spectrum is divided into several spectral regions
and convert each region with its own junction whose bandgap is tuned
to that region
1.3 In these cells , to accomplish photon sorting the junctions are stacked
with the highest bandgap junction on the top,the highest band gap
underneath and so on.
1.4 Due to stack configuration , the entire structure can be fabricated
monolithically.
“Development status of high-efficiency HIT solar
cells”(2010), Takahiro Mishima n et.al.
2.1 This approach uses high efficiency heterojunction
with intrinsic thin layer.
2.2 These thinner cells have not only higher open circuit
voltage but also better temperature cofficient .
2.3 In this Isc decreases with cell thining but the Voc
increases with cell thining.
2.4 This structure can reduce the thickness of substrate
by more than 50% while maintaining its efficiency.
• “High efficiency silicon–germanium thin film solar cell susing
graded absorber layer”(2010) Qi Hua Fan et.al.
3.1 Amorphous silicon–germanium (a-SiGe) solar cells with
graded Ge fraction along the film depth profile are
deposited .
3.2 The band gap of amorphous silicon–germanium (a-SiGe)
alloy can be adjusted continuously between 1.4 and 1.7 eV by
varying the Ge fraction.
3.3 Two main drawbacks of this structure is degradation after
light soaking and another deposition rate of aSiGe absorber
layer.
3.4 The graded aSiGe cell shows much higher fill factor than
constant Ge profile.
