WHAT’S IN THE BOX CHALLENGE

INSTRUCTION:

Determine the undefined terms

suggested by the following objects in
the box. Then group it on the box
provided.
UNDEFINED TERMS

POINT
it can suggest as exact location in
space. it has no dimension. we use
capital letter to name a point.
UNDEFINED TERMS
LINE
Is a set of points arranged in a row. It is
extended endlessly in both directions.
It is one dimension figure. Two points
determine a line. It is two distinct
points contained by exactly one line.
We use lowercase letter or any two
the line to name the line.
UNDEFINED TERMS
PLANE
Is a set of points in an endless flat
surface. The following determine a
plane
a. Three non- collinear points
b. two intersecting lines
c. two parallel lines, or
d. A line and a point not on the line
GROUP ACTIVITY

INSTRUCTION:
The students will form a small group,
then, give at least 5 real objects as
possible that suggest points, lines and
planes. Cooperation of each member is
a must.
APPLICATION

INSTRUCTION:
Time to leap, and aim high!

reaction is the problem” –Anonymous-
CHARACTERISTICS OF GOOD DEFINITION

1. It should contain ordinary words and

geometric terms that have been previously
defined or accepted as undefined.

2. It should list only the essential properties

of the term being defined.
3. It should be reversible.
