PtxPrimaryCPICH and CPICHtoRefRABoffset Rule

The PtxPrimaryCPICH parameter is involved at various stages of the call. The main procedure
affected are:

1. OLPC PRACH
2. OLPC DPCH
3. Maximum RL Power
4. Initial RL Power

OLPC
During the OLPC other parameters are involved in calculation and can be used to compensate
the links. For the OLPC PRACH the parameter involved is PRACHRequiredReceivedCI (WCEL)
for OLPC DPCH the parameter involved is SIRDPCCHInitialDCH (WBTS).
So an evident relationship appears to balance the links in case of CPICH catches far traffic
degrading the the Accessibility KPI:

PtxPrimaryCPICH
SIRDPCCHInitialDCH

PtxPrimaryCPICH and CPICHtoRefRABoffset Rule
Radio Link Power
PtxPrimaryCPICH and CPICHtoRefRABoffset are the main factors in the formula
for
calculation of maximum radio link power and a well-known relationship
between the BLER and
CPICHtoRefRABoffset
PtxMax_DL gives reason of this second balancing opportunity:

PtxPrimaryCPICH

• Moreover a relationship between PtxCPICH and RL intial power exists having incidence over the
accessibility statistics.

• Considering that BLER for UL is the same imposed for DL and a mathematical relationship between
SIRDPCCHInitialDCH and Eb/No exists a clear possibility appear to balance UL from SIRDPCCHInitialDCH.
• At the end it has to be considered that Eb/No coming from SIRDPCCHInitialDCH is responsible for intial
radio link power
