FABRICATION OF COCUNET

TREE SPRAYER
BATCH MEMBER
ABSTRACT
 Recently in agricultural field, the growth of the coconut tree is affected by
harmful insects.

 This attacks the mainly on outer layer of coconut. In order to reduce the effect
various methods are employed.

 But in our project spraying equipment such as spraying nozzle is used.

INTRODUCTION
 The spray nozzle uses the liquid pressure as the energy source to break the liquid into
droplets.

 By using spray nozzle, we can spray and distribute the insecticides, pesticides and
water efficiently in the fields.

 This sprayer consumes less energy than a gas atomized or twin-fluid spray nozzle.

 As the pressure increases the liquid flow increases and the drop size decreases.

 But this leads to problems in achieving a certain flow rate at a given pressure and in
selecting a specific droplet size. A special nozzle is developed to solve this problem.
LITERATURE REVIEW
S.Charvani, Farmers have been mainly using traditional conventional techniques
like hand operated and fuel operated sprayer system for spraying pesticides. Fuel is
expensive and in many places fuel may not be available. If hand operated spray
systems are used, the labor productivity decreases and the efficiency will be low.
The use of solar energy system is an alternate solution for these limitations.

Prof. S.V.Deshpande, generally farmer uses traditional way that is spray carried on
backpack and spraying crop. This becomes time consuming, costly and human
fatigue is major concern, these problems can be overcome by using agricultural
reciprocating multi sprayer. It facilitates uniform spread of the chemicals, capable
of throwing chemicals at the desired level, precision made nozzle tip for adjustable
stream and capable of throwing foggy spray depending on requirement.
PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
 Generally the pesticide spraying action is done by farmers by putting the heavy
storage tank on shoulder and applying hand effort for pumping action.

 They need to pump several times in certain time interval.

 This will make pesticide application process more time consuming and
intermittent.

 In addition while applying the pesticide to the plants workers have to put the
heavy pesticide container on their shoulder.

 This will result in fatigue to the workers, which in turn will results in less
efficiency
OBJECTIVE

 The main aim of this project is to spray chemicals in coconut trees.

 This equipment is consists of a metal frame, pump, wheels, link, and motors

 And also used in tank and sprayer.

SCOPE OF THE WORK

COMPONENTS USED

 Metal frame.

 Pump.

 Link.

 Wheels.
PUMP
 A wide range of processes and applications require the use of pumps for their
operations in various industries. They can also be used in commercial and
domestic applications. A great variety of high-pressure pumps are available in
different sizes, designs, and features.

 Pumps play a significant role in the production process and are indispensable for
smooth operations. Therefore, buying a suitable high-efficiency pump requires a
thorough understanding of its parts as well, so that one can buy the pump best
suited to their needs.
LINK
 A mechanical linkage is an assembly of bodies connected to manage forces and

movement.

 The movement of a body, or link, is studied using geometry so the link is considered

to be rigid.
WHEELS
 A drive wheel is a wheel of a motor vehicle that transmits force, transforming

torque into tractive force from the tires to the road, causing the vehicle to moves.

 A steering wheel is a wheel that turns to change the direction of a vehicles

BLOCK DIAGRAM
WORKING PRICIPLE
 This project is constructed with the above mentioned parts.

 In a hand operated vehicle a water tank is fixed on the given area as shown in

the figure.

 Above this tank a pump is placed for the purpose of pumping water from the

tank. This pumping operation is done by the linkage .

 It produces the linear movement and develops pressure to spray the liquid.
ADVANTAGES
 Very low cost

 No need of power supply

 Easy in construction

 Can be operated easily

CONCLUSION
 Its Eliminates extra effort required in conventional pesticide application

 Compact in Size requiring less space for working

 Eliminates extra time consumed in pumping action

 Highly durable knapsack sprayer.
