TYPES OF PHYSICAL FITNESS
▪AEROBIC FITNESS (with oxygen)
▪ Conditions heart and lungs. The purpose is to increase the
amount of oxygen that is delivered to your muscles, which
allows them to work longer.
▪MUSCULAR STRENGTHENING
▪ Stronger muscles can mean either more powerful muscles that
can do bigger jobs (such as lifting heavier weights) or muscles
that will work longer before becoming exhausted (endurance).
▪FLEXIBILITY
▪ Flexibility comes from stretching allows to counteract the
repeated shortening of muscles that happens through
exercising.

• Body Composition
• Percentage of FAT, BONE, MUSCLE, and VITAL PARTS.

• Cardiovascular Fitness
• Ability of the circulatory and respiratory system to supply oxygen
during sustained physical activity.
• Flexibility
• Range of motion available to the joint without discomfort or pain.
• No general measurement
• Muscular Strength
• Ability of the muscle to exert force.
• Tested through the amount of resistance that can be over come at
one time.
• Muscular Endurance/Fitness
• Ability to continue to perform without fatigue.
• Repetitions that can be endured by a specific muscle group.

SKILL RELATED FITNESS
• Agility
• Ability to rapidly change position of the entire body with speed
and accuracy.
• Balance
• Maintenance of the equilibrium with stationary or moving.
• Coordination
• Ability to use the senses and muscles together for accurate body
movements
• Speed
• Ability to perform a movement within a short period of time.
• Power
• Rate at which one can perform work, and a combination of
strength and speed.
• Reaction Time
• Refers to the time elapsed between stimulation and beginning of
the reaction.
