 RATIONALE
AIMS
In this study, we promote using Sitaw or string long beans to make ice cream. Our aim is for people,
especially for moms, to prepare healthy snacks that their picky little ones would enjoy.
Generally, Our aim is to encourage people to think of healthier ways to enjoy our favorite snack.

PURPOSE
To assess the acceptability of Sitaw Ice Cream to the residents of Cabiao, Nueva Ecija.

Stringbeans or Sitao
is one of the most widely grown
vegetables in the Philippines.
The tender pods are edible
while the skin is still smooth and
before seeds mature or expand.
The young leaves and stem
can be boiled or steamed
and eaten as green vegetables.
The origin of
Ice-cream
An ice-cream-like food was
first eaten in China in 618-
97AD. King Tang of Shang, had
94 ice men who helped to
make a dish of buffalo milk,
flour and camphor.
