Dr. Queena N. Lee-Chua, is an award winning writer,
lecturer, mathematician and a multi-awarded professor
of mathematics and psychology at the Ateneo de Manila
University.

She received another National Book Award in 2003, this


time in the Anthology category, for “Cogito Ergo Sum
and Other Musings on Science,” which includes “Cogito
Ergo Sum, or What I Know for Sure I Learned from
Mathematics,” the piece that won her the first prize in
the Essay category of the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial
Awards for Literature in 2001. She recently launched
her new book entitled Learning: What Parents,
Students, and Teachers Should Know.”
Summary of the story

Cogito Ergo Sum or What I Know For Sure I Learned from Mathematics”This essay was
all about Dr. Queena Lee-Chua as a college professor that teaches a particular student. It
shows how Mathematics can relate to people’s life,that Mathematics is not easy to be
understand just like how hard the life is, but ashow hard this thing is, people always find
its way to experience easy life. But justwhat the Mathematics are supposed to be, we
should not find an easy way inMathematics and in life in order to learn, we should learn
things slowly butproductive in the end.
