INTRODUCTION:
Home automation makes life simple nowadays. It
involves automatic controlling of all
electronic or electrical in homes or even
remotely through wireless communication.
Centralized control of lighting equipments, air
conditioning and heating, audio/video systems,
security systems, kitchen appliances and all
other equipments are used in home are possible.
INTERNET OF
THINGS:
The Internet of Things is a system of physical
things embedded with sensors, software,
electronics and connectivity to allow it to
perform better by exchanging information with
another connected devices.
ABSTRACT:
In order to help maintain comfortable living conditions within a home, home
monitoring and automation are utilized. The standards of human's comfort
in homes can be categorized into several types. Among these categories,
the most significant ones are the thermal comfort, which is related to
temperature and humidity, followed by the visual comfort, related to colors
and light, and hygienic comfort, associated with air quality. A system can be
set to monitor these parameters to help maintain them within an acceptable
range. Additionally, making the house smart is to allow for intelligent
automatic executing of several commands after analyzing the collected
data. Automation can be accomplished by using the Internet of Things
(IoT).
NODEMCU:
NodeMCU is a low-cost open source IOT
platform. It initially included firmware which runs on
the ESP8266 WI-FI SOC from Espressif Systems,
and hardware which was based on the ESP-12
module. Later, designs based on the ESP32 32-bit
MCU were added. NodeMCU is a low-cost open

Smoke sensor:
A smoke detector is a device that senses
smoke, typically as an indicator of fire.
Commercial security devices issue a signal to
a fire alarm control panel as part of a fire
alarm system, while household smoke
detectors, also known as smoke alarms,
generally issue a local audible or visual alarm
from the detector itself or several detectors if
there are multiple smoke detectors interlinked.
ADVANTAGES:
Saves electricity.
Control home appliances from
anywhere.
Quick response.
Helps for safety purpose.
Monitoring 24/7.
APPLICATIONS:
Security
systems.
Lighting control.
Irrigation
system.
Burning
problem.
CONCLUSION:
The home automation using internet of things is easy and
simple by connecting simple appliances to it and the
appliances were successfully controlled remotely through
internet.
