SEX ≠ GENDER

What is Sex?
The term sex refers to biological characteristics,
namely chromosomes, internal and external sex organs,
and the hormonal activities within the body. Essentially,
when we use the term sex, what we are really
commenting on is “male” vs. “female”, scientifically
speaking. The sex of an individual is based on genetics,
making it much more difficult to change.
What is Gender?
 comes from the Middle English gender, gendre. Meaning "kind",
"type", or "sort“
 is the range of characteristics pertaining to, and differentiating
between, masculinity and femininity. Depending on the context,
these characteristics may include biological sex, sex-based social
structures or gender identity. Most cultures use a gender binary,
having two genders (boys/men and girls/women) those who exist
outside these groups fall under the umbrella term non-
binary or genderqueer.
