Intentional Fallacy - term used in 20th-
century literary criticism to describe the
problem inherent in trying to judge a work of art
by assuming the intent or purpose of the artist
who created it.
 Can artwork be derived from an idea
alone, or does it require the hand of
a maker?
o Artwork can be derived from an IDEA ALONE.
o Conceptual art - an art for which the idea (or
concept) behind the work
is more important than the
finished art object.
