Introduction
Apple Inc. formerly Apple Computer Inc., it is an American Multinational corporation. Our
company basically designs and manufactures consumer electronic and software products. It
is a best-known hardware products include Macintosh computers, the ipod and the iphone.
Apple software includes the Mac OS X operating system, the iTunes media browser, the
iLife suite of multimedia and creativity software. Our company operates more than 250
retail stores in nine countries and an online store where hardware and software products are
sold.
History
1976–1980: Our company was
established on April 1, 1976 by
Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and
Ronald Wayne, to sell the Apple I
computer kit. They were hand-
built by Wozniak and first shown
to the public. The Apple I was
sold as a motherboard with CPU,
RAM, and basic textual-video
chips. The Apple I went on sale in
July 1976 and was market-priced
at $666.66.The Apple II was
introduced on April 16, 1977 at
the first West Coast Computer
fair. It came with color graphics
and an open architecture. We
introduce of a 5 1/4 inch floppy
disk drive and interface.

1981–1985: In 1984, Apple next


launched the Macintosh. Its debut
was announced by the now
famous $1.5 million television
commercial, "1984". The Mac
was particularly powerful in this
market due to its advanced

1986–1993: Apple introduced the


PowerBook in 1991, which
established the modern form and
layout of the Laptop Computer.
During this time Apple
experimented with a number
products including digital
cameras, portable CD audio
players, speakers, video consoles,
and TV appliances.

1994–1997: In 1994, Apple allied


with IBM and Motorola in the
AIM alliance. The goal was to
create a new computing platform
(the PowerPC Reference
Platform), which would use IBM
and Motorola hardware coupled
with Apple's software. On
November 10, 1997, Apple
introduced the Apple Store, tied
to a new build-to-order
manufacturing strategy

1998–2005: On August 15, 1998,


Apple introduced a new all-in-one
computer reminiscent the iMac.
The iMac featured current
technology and a unique design.
later in that time the iPod and the
iPhone model was design. In
2001 Apple introduced the iPod
portable digital audio player. In
2003, Apple's iTunes Store was
introduced.
History
2005–present: On January 10, 2006, the
new MacBook Pro and iMac became
the first Apple computers to utilize
Intel's Core Duo CPU. Apple also
introduced Boot Camp to help users
install Windows XP or Windows
Vista. On February 7, 2007, Apple
indicated that it would sell music on
the iTunes. On September, 2008,
Apple had become the third-largest
mobile handset supplier in the world
due to the popularity of the iPhone.
Current Product
iMac: consumer all-in-one desktop
computer that was first introduced
by Apple in 1998. It has been a
large part of Apple's desktop, and
has evolved through four distinct
forms. In its original form was
egg-shaped with a CRT monitor
translucent plastic. Then LCD
monitor on a freely moving arm
attached to the top of the base.
Now iMac creating a slim design
that tilts only up and down on a
simple metal base.
Current Product
Mac mini: The Mac Mini was
introduced in January 2005, and
has been updated with newer
processors and other expansions
several times since. The new Mac
Mini features more graphically
intensive applications to be run
than before. Apple now ships the
2.0 GHz and expandable to
2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, The
Mac Mini still comes with 1GB
RAM standard and 2GB in the
higher specification, although it is
now expandable to 4GB.

previously known as the
PowerMac. The Mac Pro is
currently the fastest computer that
Apple has to offer.

introduced in 2006, available in
white and aluminum variants, it
was previously known as the
iBook. the MacBook is aimed at
the education and consumer
markets. in October 2008, the
mid-range model of the MacBook
was the single best-selling laptop
of any brand in U.S. retail stores
for the preceding five months.
There were two designs of the
MacBook: one is polycarbonate
casing the second type aluminum
casing.

Apple is on path to remove toxic chemicals from


our products. In the 2008 Environmental
Update, Steve Jobs provides an overview of
Apple’s progress to eliminate mercury. Steve
Jobs also talks about Apple’s policy on climate
change, steps taken to improve product energy
efficiency, and overall recycling performance
during 2007.

Apple requires our suppliers to adhere to our


Supplier Code of Conduct .We insist to provide
safe working conditions, treat employees fairly,
and use environmentally responsible
manufacturing processes. We drive compliance
to the Code through an aggressive monitoring
program that includes factory audits, corrective
action plans, and verification measures.
CSR
We are committed to ensuring the
highest standards of social responsibility
wherever our products are made. Part of
our role as a global, corporate citizen is to
ensure our suppliers meet the standards
outlined in our Supplier. As a result of our
compliance monitoring and the subsequent
corrective actions, working conditions have
