The Rate of Income on a stock investment is the ratio of
the annual dividends to the total cost of stock.

Selling Stocks

After deducting all the expenses from the market price


of the stock, the money that you will receive is called
the Net Proceeds.

Formula :

Solution :
A. P31.60 – 23.55 = P8.05
P8.05 X 500 = P4025.00

B. P31.60 X 500 = P15 800.00

BONDS
BOND is a form of long – time investment issued by
corporation or government where the purchaser
becomes a creditor of the company.
Bond holder – one who holds a corporation or
government bond.
Bonds have two kinds of values.
1. Par Value of the bond – is the same as its face
value.
2. Market value of the bond – is the price at
which the bond is being sold.
Example :

Find the yield on P1000, 9% ACTS bond priced at 94 plus P10 commission.
