the graduates point of view?

Scope and Limitations
• The study was conducted to the first and
second batch of SHS graduates of GMATHS.

curriculum exits such as:
a. Employment , higher education , middle level
skills development , and entrepreneurship.
• Demographic , sociographic, and academic
profile of respondents will also be considered
• as well as the graduates feedback towards the
program.
Methodology
An online tracer tool was made available to students
through their class chat groups . All information were
gathered and collected in the school data base. Using
the Statistical Package for Social Sciences [SPSS], the
gathered data were then statistically analysed and
interpreted.
Quantitative data analysis [percentage and frequency]
was used to analyse the responses for questions 1 and
2 , chi square for establishing relationship or question
number 3. Mean scores were used in analysing
qualitative data or question number 4 responses.
Results and Discussion

1. Profile of the respondents:

Out of the one thousand eight hundred
respondents [1,800]only five hundred one[501]
responded answered the online survey. Most of
the respondents are 17 – 18 years old coming
from the first batch graduates . Majority were
female, single and residents of GMA. Most of
them chose higher education as their career exit
and for the SHS strand TVL has the highest
frequency.
2. Chosen Curriculum Exits of the Respondents:
Majority chose higher education but noted to have 29
respondents with no chosen curriculum exits.
3. Relationship between profile variables and
Curriculum Exits of the Respondents.
There was a significant relationship between gender,
age, address , and SHS track and strand taken by the
respondents and their curriculum exits. No significant
relationship between civil status and curriculum exit of
the respondent.
4. Perceptions of SHS respondents on how effective
the K to 12 Curriculum is as implemented in GMATHS:
Most of the respondents agreed that the
curriculum was learner centred, inclusive,
developmentally appropriate, relevant, responsive,
research based, culture sensitive, global, constructivist,
integrative, reflective, collaborative, inquiry based, uses
mother tongue multilingual education, instruction
material sufficient, competent teachers, and uses spiral
progression approach.
Conclusion of the study :
There was a significant relationship between
the profile variables of the respondents and their
curriculum exits. The findings find support from
Erickson’s psychosocial theory. According to the
theory, most of the respondents were in the Fidelity
stage which was characterized by self identity and
role confusion. According to him, they were in a stage
where one has to reconcile between the person one
has come to be and the person society expects one to
become.
