Electrostatic Precipitator
and Bag Filter
BAG FILTER
• These are large fabric bags, usually made of special fibers, used to eliminate intermediate and large
particles greater than 20 microns in diameter). It operates like the bag of an electric vacuum cleaner
entrapping the solid particles on the surface of the fabric.

BAG FILTER USED IN DCL

• There various de-dusting lines which suck the dust generated during the process and after passing to the
Bag filter recycles the material back to the system. The suction of the dust is done by an ID Fan which
also discharges the cleaned exhaust gas to the atmosphere after passing to the Bag filter.

Electrostatic Precipitator in DCL

• An electrostatic precipitator is an industrial emission control unit on both the Line –I and Line –II are
made of Romanian and A-Tech. It is designed to trap and remove dust particles from the exhaust
gases/air of the process. Precipitators are used approx. in all process industry deals with solids. The
Electrostatic Precipitator let the gases flow out of the system through the chimney. If the electrostatic
precipitator function properly, fine material particles will also collect from gases resulting significant
material collection.
Electro Static Precipitator
Electro static Precipitator is based on the
utilization of the effect of gas ionization in
a strong electric filed, which is formed by
discharge electrodes (corona effect,
negative) and by collecting electrodes high
voltage DC of about 40-80’000V, the
discharge electrode begins to emit
electrons, resulting in charging the gas
molecules surrounding the electrode in
positive and negative ions.

Bag Dust Collector
These large dust collectors equipped with siliconized glass fiber may contain up to 500 ~
2500 glass cloth filter bags each up to 10 meter in length with 300mm diameter. The glass
bag house is divided into equal sized compartments, each of which is equipped with
damper valves to control intake gas flow and reverse air for cleaning. Hot dust laden gases
enter the compartments of the bag house via the inlet manifold at the base of the
collector. The pressure type glass bag house the filtered clean gas is vented through roof
ventilators.
