 Task conflict is when you disagree over

what’s to be done

 Often happens between different functions,


example: sales and marketing

 Task conflict occurs when two parties are


unable to move forward on a task due to
differing needs or attitudes
Task conflict can have both negative as well as positive results

1) When not handled promptly , it can waste time that could’ve


spent completing their assigned tasks and can also lead to
relationship conflict

2) However, task conflict can encourage employees to be more


open to new ideas and learn to work better together
 Passive Aggressive ( Avoiding direct
confrontation )

might go to my boss and say, hey, I’m having
this problem with Sarah. Can you help me
deal with it ?

 Or telling you a similar story of someone and


insinuate this is how we’re going to solve it
