Majority of Accidents in Opencast Mine Occur due
to:
1. Collision either due to Head on or Head to Tail
2. Failure of brakes
3. Over speeding or rash driving by operators
4. Fire
5. Driving of the vehicle while body still raised
6. Short circuit due to problems in Auto-electrical
system
