anonymous, with a screen between you and the priest. (choose the option that is the most comfortable for you ) 1.Individual Confession • In most churches there is a reconciliation room in which the person’s sins are forgiven. This room allows you to speak to a priest freely. The priest will begin with a short reading or a passage from the scripture. • The person will acknowledge their regretful sins, then the priest will set the person prays and charitable acts to whom they have offended. • The person says the Act of Contrition and the Priest follows up with a prayer proclaiming God’s forgiveness. The person thanks the priest and does any reflection then. 2.Communal Celebration • May parishes provide opportunities for people to use the sacrament of reconciliation as a part of a communal celebration instead of individually.
• The community gather and the celebration
begins with an opening hymn, a greeting by the priest and a prayer. He allows brief time of personal reflection after the homily. • Then each person confesses to a priest individually and receives absolution. The priest uses the same procedure as the first rite. The priest says a blessing and says ‘Go In Peace’. 3.General Absolution in a Communal Rite of Reconciliation • The third rite of reconciliation is used in special circumstances where there is no opportunity for individual confession such as war or national emergency.
• The priest give a general absolution of sins
after the community have reflected privately and say a prayer expressing their repentance. THANK YOU <3
