LIGHT MONITORING TEMPERATURE
USING LIGHT FIDELITY (LI-FI)
TECHNOLOGY
FOR
CALL CENTER SETTING
ABSTRACT OF LIGHT FIDELITY (LI-FI)
• The Li-Fi (light fidelity) technology was proposed by the German
Scientist namely Harald Haas in 2010.

• The main function of this technology is to transmit the data via

light.

• The main feature of this technology includes fully networked,

bidirectional and high-speed wireless.
INTRODUCTION
Employers have a duty to take precautions to protect employees
from diseases that could be transmitted in the workplace at the same time
protecting the rights of employees with the medical conditions.

Employers face many challenges when dealing with sickness

absence. It gets much more difficult when you face malingerers-employees who
lie or exaggerate their illness or injuries to avoid attending work.

According to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)

employers must provide workers with every kind of on-the-job protection against
injury, sickness or death through safe healthful working condition.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The objectives of this study aims to:
• Design a monitoring temperature using Li-Fi technology;
• Construct a circuit according to the design;
• Develop a program that will drive the device;
• Perform the function test;
Recognize human body temperature,
Recognize surrounding temperature,
Cautionary advice signs if the human body temperature exceeds 100.4°F
(38°C),
Cautionary advice signs if the surrounding temperature exceeds 111°F to
51°F (44°C to 51°C)
• Present the cost of the prototype of the study.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
• The significance of this study are:

• give security health alarm to each employees,

• Monitor the surrounding temperature; and

• provide accurate and faster device recognition of human body

temperature and surrounding temperature.
TARGET BENEFICIARIES
The Light Monitoring Temperature using Li-Fi Technology will benefit the following:

EMPLOYERS

The outcomes from this study will minimize malingerers-employees

who lie or exaggerate their illness to avoid attending work, and to

reduce health fund budget.

TARGET BENEFICIARIES

EMPLOYEES

The outcomes from this study will offer protection, safeness, and

assurance of the employee's in their workplace.

It gives awareness of probably cause rate of burn in light texture objects.

TARGET BENEFICIARIES

STUDENTS

Findings from this study can widen the knowledge of the students on how to

make some light fidelity. Light monitoring temperature can be or may help broaden

their understanding about the useful of light.

TARGET BENEFICIARIES

FUTURE RESEARCHERS

The data and information from this study can be some of used by the

future researchers as baseline data for their future studies related to the said

topic.
SCOPE OF WORK
This study will be focused on depending a light monitoring temperature using Li-Fi

technology that will:

• recognize the human body temperature of each employees if it less than or

greater than 100.4 °F (38°C); and

• recognize the surrounding temperature from 111°F to 125°F (44°C to 51°C)

that probably cause rate of burn in light texture object
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
METHODOLOGY

This section contains the materials that use process flow and design of the system.

Furthermore, the proponents will explain everything about the device, starting

from the development of the title to the final draft of the design, and from its

software to its hardware.

METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH PROCEDURES

• Collecting information

• Designing and identifying parameters

• Canvassing and purchasing the materials

• Hardware Design

• Software Design
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

Intelligent Transport System

LED equipped headlight and backlights, where the cars can talk to each other

and react faster when they are Li-Fi enabled, traffic lights can indeed reduce the

number of accidents (IJERGS, 2015) [4].

Underwater Awesomeness

The RF cannot penetrate in the water while the visible light can, drivers can use

their torches enabled with Li-Fi technology to communicate with each other (Jackson, E,

2011) [5].
Enjoy your Flight

The reason being the electromagnetic interface caused to the aircraft

systems by the radio waves emitted from mobile phones, this hindering our online

operation, Li-Fi provides a solution to this as it can use the light presented in the

aircraft lobby for data transmission. (Matteo, GT, 2012) [6].

Boon for Hospitals

Operating rooms in hospital do not allow Wi-Fi over radiation concerns

and also there is lack of interface from cell phone and computer can block

signals from the monitoring equipment. are not only allowed in operating rooms

but tend to be the most glaring fixture in the room, it can be used for advanced

medical instrument, (Daniel, PY, 2011) [7].

Intrinsically Safe Environment

This can be used in petroleum and chemical industries and other

environments where the usage of radio waves or other transmission frequencies

can be hazardous.
RESEARCH STUDY DURATION

This research study duration would be a year or so, depending on the

availability of materials.
APPROXIATE BUDGET TO COMPLETE THE STUDY

The researcher estimated cost for this research study is

PHP 20,000 to PHP 30,000.
