CORPORATE CULTURE

Refers to assumption, beliefs, goals, knowledge and

values that are shared by organizational members.

(Schwarts and Davis,1981); Deal & Kennedy, 1982; Sathe

1983; Schein,1992)

shared vision or purpose and the virtues of increasing individuals

Component of integrated social system which includes

structure component to maintain an orderly social life,

adaptation mechanism, and society’s equilibrium with its

physical environment.

SOCIAL GLUE

Common view of culture

The organization are integrated and controlled through

informal, non- structural means –shared values beliefs,

understanding & norms.

That culture in that sense contribute the avoidance of


fragmentation, conflict tension and other miseries.

It is called the integration approach whereby all cultural


members are said to share the same view of culture.

Culture is social glue that holds members together in an


organizational wide consensus.
