EFFECTIVE PRAYER
 Pray without
ceasing, in everything
PRAYER
give thanks; for this is
the will of God in
Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5: 17- 18
 I. BE RIGHTEOUS
AND OBEDIENT
I John 3:22
"And whatsoever we ask we receive of
him, because we keep his
commandments and do the things
that are pleasing in his sight“

• God will grant our prayers IF WE

OBEY HIS COMMANDS
• God promises His children to grant
their prayers if THEY ARE Righteous .
II. PRAY IN FAITH
MARK 11:24
Therefore I say to
you, whatever things you ask
when you pray, believe that
you receive them, and you will
have them.

• Prayer and faith always go together.

• Praying without believing is like a
car without gasoline. IT CAN’T GO
ANYWHERE.
III. HAVE A FORGIVING SPIRIT
Matthew 6:15
But if you do not forgive men
their trespasses, neither will
your Father forgive your
trespasses

• Forgive just as the God forgives our

sins.
• Pray for those who have hate for
you.
• We are being Christ like.
IV. PRAY IN HARMONY James 4:3
WITH GOD'S WILL. You ask and do not

we have in Him, that if we ask you ask amiss, that
anything according to His will,
He hears us. you may
spend it on your
• “Not what I want but what you
want” pleasures.
• HAVE THE RIGHT MOTIVE IN
PRAYING
V. PRAY IN JESUS' NAME.
John 14:13
And whatever you ask in My
name, that I will do, that the
Father may be glorified in the
Son.
• Jesus is our Mediator (Jn 14:6)
• Jesus sends our prayer to the
Father
 Our Father in heaven,
HOW SHOULD hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
WE PRAY? Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
A- ADORATION Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
C- CONFESSION as we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into
temptation,
T- THANKS GIVING but deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the
S- SUPPLICATION power and the glory forever.
Amen.
