Intro to After Effects.

- Animated Backgrounds: Changing the Colour.

Here looked at changing the

background colour to a dark
pink/purple. To do this I went
to the colour correction panel
and then to change colour to
and dragged the effect onto
the background. From there I
the used the eye dropper to
tool to select the colour I am
changing and then used the
one colour box below to alter
the current background
colour.
- Animated Backgrounds: Using Provided Effects.

I then went to Animation

Presets > Background >
Blocks (effect seen on the
left).

Then looked at duplicating

the lion through going to
the Behaviours drop down
menu under Animation
Presets and the selecting
Autoscroll Horizontal. (seen
below).
Changing Background Colour, Adding text and Exporting.
I then looked at changing the
block effects colour to a turquoise
colour to complement the blue
lion and then looked at adding an
animated text drop into the clip
through using the text drop down
menu in the effect panel.

I then exported the clip through

the Media Encoder, since after
effect doesn’t allow you to export
directly from the program on
Windows Operating Systems (OS)
unless it is on a Mac OS.
Animate along a Path.

Select background layer and use the

pen tool to draw an line following
the motion of the road. The less
points made by the pen tool on the
road the smother the animation will
be as each point will create a
keyframe for the car to follow along.
Making the Car Move.

Select Mask Path> Edit> Copy> Select red car drop down
menu> Position>edit>paste last copied> Layer> Transform>
Auto-orient> Click OK> Alter car rotation as needed. Car
now moves from one side of the road to the next without
having a turn in its body.

Premiere Pro - Parallax.

Parallax is the effect where the position

or direction of an object appears to differ
when viewed from different positions.

Here I took a basic 4 layered background

and looked to alter its positions to give a
zooming effect, to do this I key framed
the start and end positions of the clip
with the use of scale and postion.
Repeated a similar
effect as seen on the
first parallax clip.
