CASE STUDY – juice shop

MEWAD SODA

Location: Multi Level Parking, M.P. Nagar Zone

1
Type : Juice Bar/Café

Mewad Soda is a unique addition to the

parking zone of M.P. Nagar. It fits the
informal street juice cart into a formal
typology of a café with the help of
thoughtful interior designing.

A summertime salvation, the place is bound to

attract a lot of customers, mainly from
coaching centers and offices, who might
seek respite from heat. The designing
scheme thus reflects a cool and
contemporary character through the use of
certain elements and their combinations.

of Interior Designing
Colour Palette
Forest Green Teal Cerulean

Steel Grey Seashell White Pine Wood

Mint Black Laurel Green

Cool colours have been balanced by the use of

neutral grey, the warm shade of wood, and bright
elements like bottles, show pieces.

Materials
Ceramic tiles, Plastic wall treatment, wood, Steel
bars, Fake grass/plants
Space
The well like hollow of a double
heighted space has been
balanced by two decorative
shelves and a square waffle false
ceiling.

The two shelves are

proportionate to each other.

The depth of an elongated space

on the first floor has been
asymmetrically balanced. The
vertical elements on both sides
and the colour scheme are in
harmony.
Texture

The symmetrical curves of the blue wall

patterns adds rhythm and appeal to the
entrance. The green wall panel puts
emphasis on the wall on which the brand
name is written.
Light
Recessed LED light bulbs and
pendant lights have been
used.

Super white light from

recessed bulbs compliment
the cool colour palette while
a warmer tone from the
pendant bulb compliemnts
the organic materials used in
the interior like wood, green
ceiling and potted plants.
Line

Lines have been used throughout the bar to

make it look more spacious and roomy.
These linear elements help in laying
emphasis on the double heighted space.
These vertical lines balance the horizontal
depth of the space instead of emphasizing
them.
Form
All the forms used in the interior are rectangular/cuboidal that
are proportionate to the rectangular dimensions of the juice
bar-café.
Pattern

The overall linear scheme of

the juice bar-café has been
used with organic patterns
that reflect the traditional
items that are served.

These have been used

practically everywhere -
false ceiling, wall and floor
tiles, banisters and
furniture.
