Introduction
• Presently, manually handled device is commonly used for cutting the grass over the
field which creates pollution and loss of energy.
• The wireless grass cutter system puts forth an automated lawn mower mechanism.
• Automatic solar grass cutter will reduce the effort required for cutting grass in the
lawns.
• Also, Solar power will be used to provide the driving energy for the cutter and various
sensors will be used to detect and avoid the unnecessary objects in the field during
operation.
Objectives:-
The following are the objectives of this project:

• To reduce human effort by cutting the grass automatically.

• To use solar energy to power the machine instead of electrical energy, hence saving
electricity and fossil fuels.
• To detect and tackle obstacles that are in the path of machine.
What is the need of this project?

• Traditional Lawn Mowers use electricity or fuels such as petrol or diesel as main
source of energy, which is a waste of fuel.
• Lawn Mowers are heavy and require a lot of human effort to carry out the mowing
process.
• Use of Solar energy can help reduce the pollution as well as noise produced.
• It requires a lot of time to mow lawns, this project aims to remove human effort
hence saving time.
Mechanism:
• The Mechanism is totally powered by solar energy.
• The design contains a microcontroller, multiple sensors, and a solar charging system.
Adding these elements together, we get our robotic lawn mower.
• The sensors are the eyes of our Robot Initially.
• We used only an ultrasonic sensor to detect if the robot was heading into an object.
• Determining where to place our sensors is crucial to the overall effectiveness of our
design.
• The solar panels were to be placed horizontal on the robot because to achieve
maximum sun exposure.
• The microprocessor must be in the robot to protect it from the natural elements. ur
ultrasonic sensor will be mounted directly in front of the robot for maximum detection.
Algorithm Flowchart:
Advantages:
• Compact size and portable
• No fuel cost
• No pollution
• Easy to move from one place to another
• Less wear and tear
• Non-skilled person can also operate
Limitations:
• Difficult to operate in rainy seasons.
• Requires maintenance.
Applications:
• Playgrounds (cricket ground,
football ground etc.)
• House gardens
• Small farms
• Educational institutes
Proposed Work:
Thank you.
