CALABARZON
GEOGRAPHIC PROFILE
It is the study of places and the relationships
between people and their environments.
It examines how human culture interacts with
the natural environment and the way that
locations and places can have an impact on
people.
It seeks to understand where things are
found, why they are there, and how they
develop and change over time.
It is composed of the five
provinces of CAvite, LAguna,
BAtangas, Rizal, and QueZON. It is
located in Southern Luzon,
Southwest of Metro Manila and is
the second most densely
populated region in the country. It
is bordered by Region V to the
CAVITE is a province in the Philippines
situated in the CALABARZON region of
occupying the central section of Luzon.
Its capital is the City of Imus. The
province has a land area of 1,574.17 sq.
km. (607.79 sq. mi.) It is one of the most
populated provinces in the country and
one of the most industrialized and
fastest growing provinces in the
Philippines.
LAGUNA is situated Southeast of
Metro Manila, South of the province
of Rizal, West of Quezon, North of
Batangas, and East of Cavite.It covers
a total area of 1,917.85 km² (740.49
sq. mi.). Its capital is the Municipality
of Santa Cruz. It is notable as the
birthplace of Jose Rizal, the country’s
national hero.
BATANGAS is bordered by the
provinces of Cavite and Laguna to
the North, and Quezon to the
East. Its capital is the city of
Batangas. It has a land area of
3,119.75 sq. km. (1,204.54 sq.
mi.). It is one of the most popular
tourist destinations near Metro
RIZAL is named after Jose Rizal,
Philippines’ national hero. It covers a
total area of 1,191.94 sq. km. (460.21 sq.
mi.). The provincial capitol of Rizal is
situated in Antipolo while Pasig, Metro
Manila, outside the jurisdiction of the
province, is still the official capital. It is a
mountainous province perched on the
Western slopes of the Southern portion of
the Sierra Madre mountain range.
QUEZON was named after Manuel L.
Quezon, the second President of the
Philippines and the first to be freely
elected. Lucena is the provincial capital,
seat of the provincial government and the
most populous city of the province, but is
governed independently as a highly
urbanized city. It is the 8th largest
province in the Philippines having an area
of 8,989.39 sq. km. (3,470.82 sq. mi.).

known by his nickname Jonvic
Remulla, is a Filipino
politician and the incumbent Governor
of Cavite. He is the son of former
Governor Juanito Remulla and sibling
of Gilbert Remulla and Jesus Crispin
Remulla.
Ramil Hernandez is a Filipino
politician from Calamba City,
Laguna. He is currently serves
as
a Governor of Laguna. He was was
elected two terms as a
Governor of Laguna. He was first
elected as a Governor in 2016 and was
re-elected in 2019.
Hermilando "Dodo" Ingco
Mandanas (born March
25, 1944) is a Filipino
politician. A former three-
term Governor of
Batangas since 1995 to 2004 and
former three-term Member of the House
of the representative of the Philippines,
representing the 2nd District of
Rebecca "Nini" Alcantara
Ynares is a Filipina politician
from the province of Rizal,
Philippines. She was first elected as
governor of the province in 2001and
was re-elected in 2013. Ynares' second
term started in 2016, and since then
she has served as Governor of Rizal.
Danilo "Danny" Etorma
Suarez
(born December 20, 1942) is a
Filipino politician and the
incumbent Governor of Quezon. He
served as Minority Floor Leader of the
House of Representatives of the
Philippines representing the 3rd District
of Quezon.
