SHAITAN IS A BAD ENEMY OF MAN

 Satan is the bad enemy of
mankind
The Invisible open enemy of mankind. The
problem of all evil. He misguides by
whispering suggestions. Indeed his
whispers are extremely dangerous. The
quran has warned against following his
ways which are those against the orders of
Allah (God) mentioned in the Quran.
 Satan is the bad enemy of

Satan or Shaitan is a term used to describe

the followers of Iblis - a Jinn (Genie) who
refused to prostrate before Adam and
disobeyed Allah (God) and ended up being
one of the Unbeleivers and an open enemy
to mankind.

Adam, live with your wife in Paradise,
and eat there from generously, as you
please, but do not approach this tree,
lest you sin."

After a time Satan tempted them with that
tree to disobey. Our Command and
brought them out of the state they were in,
and We decreed, "Now, go down all of
you from here; you are enemies of one
another. Henceforth you shall dwell and
provide for yourselves on the Earth for a
specified period." (2:36)

• Ways of the satan to make people
astray
1. He will take something which is forbidden
and present it in a way to make it look like a
permissible act.
2. He will make you hurry in good deeds, so
that they may be left incomplete.
3. He will make you get confused by creating
doubts.
4. He will try to lure you into the beauties of
this world in order you forget Allah.
5. He will try to make good acts difficult and
bad deeds easy and fruitful.
• 6. He will stop you from doing Zikr -
Remembrance of Allah (your antivirus)
7. He will create superstition inside you (like
lucky/unlucky numbers, clothes, days etc)
8. He will try to make you miss saying "InshAllah"
before any commitment.
9. He will try to create hatred amongst kith and
kin
10. He will try to make husband & wife quarrel.
11. He will try to reduce your knowledge of Islam

How shaitan works

 I don't think we can fully understand why
and how God uses angels in our lives unless
we completely understand how Satan works.
You better be on guard because Satan is
devious and he will try to keep you away
from experiencing a full and satisfying
relationship with God.
• Satan's forces are attacking us all the
time.
• Satan would love to keep you bound by
sin and to make sure that you do not
accept God's gift of eternal life.
• But, how exactly does he do it, why do we
allow it, and how can we stop it?
• Think about how Satan works in our world
today.
• Haven't you heard people say, "If I live a
good life, I will surely make it to Heaven," or
"If you are nice to others, that is probably
enough to get to Heaven," or "if I go to
Masjid, that should be enough.
• He will not distract you when you are
offering pray.
• He will not stop you when you are drinking
alcohol.
 Eg

• For eg:if u'll put your hands in fire…your

hands will burn n it will not get beautiful
If u'll drink poison it will kill you, if you will
put acid on you, it will burn you.....
• Just like that if u'll listen 2 Satan doubts n
will go solving Satan doubts den he will
burn like fire, he will kill like poison, he will
make u horrible like acid.....So please just
avoid Satan as he is dark devil....Avoid him
he will flee from you.
HOW SHETAN CAN BE
AVOIDED

 ISTI’ADHA
Isti’adha is to seek Allah’s protection against Shetan
and is one of the important aspects of faith and is
obligatory on every Muslim. It should be from the
depths of the heart of the person and not just the
repetition of the words through the mouth. The
reality requires one to seek freedom from the
accursed shetan and submit to Allah (S.w.T.) for His
help. If these two objectives are achieved, then the
Isti’adha is really Isti’adha! Otherwise it will just be
an exercise in futility.
THE 5 ASPECTS OF ISTI’ADHA
1. Takwa (Piety)
2. Tazakkur (Remembrance of Allah)
3. Tawakkul (Trust in Allah)
4. Ikhlas (Sincerity)
5. Aijizi (Humility towards Allah)
When a person practices all these five aspects,
his Isti’adha will be accepted by Allah (S.w.T.).
In other words, when Shetan comes to a mu’min
he becomes scared of man as an ordinary human
being gets scared of the company of Jinns.
 TAKWA
Verily those who guard (themselves against evil) when an evil
thought from shetan afflicts them, they become mindful (of
God and get awakened) then lo! They are forthright. (Sura al-
A’raaf, 7:201)
Therefore, the very first condition for keeping oneself safe
from form shetan is to become pious. Those who adopted
piety, busy themselves in prayer whenever they have fears of
shetan in their hearts. They get enlightened that shetan created
the fears. They also realize that shetan had fled because of
their prayer and that they are in the protection of Allah
(S.w.T.). The ayat mentioned above is a pointer to the
believers towards adoption of piety and remembrance of Allah
(S.w.T.).
 TAWAKKUL
Allah (S.w.T.) says in the Holy Qur’an: So when you recite the
Qur’an, seek refuge with Allah from the accursed shetan,
Surely he has no authority over those who believe and rely on
their Lord. (Sura an‑Nahl, 16:98-99)
One who has trust in Allah (S.w.T.), shetan will have no
control on him. shetan can influence only those who don’t
trust on Allah (S.w.T.) and all their confidence is on material
and worldly aspects of their lives. When a person doesn’t trust
Allah (S.w.T.) from the depths of his heart, then all his
pleadings for protection will be of no avail. According to the
verse quoted above, shetan would gain ascendance over him.
 IKHLAS
Thus it is established that the Isti’adha of only the persons
sincere to Allah (S.w.T.) is appropriate. Since shetan has no
influence on such persons they are those who escape from his
machinations.
A woman who can come to the bazār wearing indecent dress is
shetanic from head to toe! And the man who chaperons such a
woman in public can never escape from the attention of
shetan. It goes to prove that one who doesn’t save himself
from what is forbidden (haram) can never prevent himself
from the influence of shetan.
