MANAGEMENT STYLES

JORDAN JACOBI
Autocratic
Leaders
PRESIDENT BUSINESS-THE LEGO MOVIE
• President Business is an autocratic leader because he often
makes decisions on his own and does not let his
employees/community help him with his decision.
• He takes control of situations on his own and doesn’t care
who he effects as long as he’s on top of everyone else.
• The decisions he makes are usually bad because he doesn’t
take advice from the people he’s effecting and he will often
take charge without permission.
DARTH VADER-STAR WARS
• Darth Vader is an autocratic leader because he never asks his
troop’s opinions and makes orders on his own no matter the
price.
• A good example of this is in “Star Wars Episode IV-A New
Hope”. In a scene where one of Darth Vader’s officers says he
isn’t strong enough with the force, Vader ends up choking
him and killing him because he didn’t think the same way as
him. Vader doesn’t care about the people who he is effecting
and makes irrational decisions on his own.
Laissez-Faire
Leaders
HAN SOLO-STAR WARS
• Han Solo is a great example of a laissez-faire leader because he
lets his best friend Chewbacca do whatever he needs to do on
board of the Millennium Falcon.
• Han Solo usually trusts his “employees” do make the right
decisions and he doesn’t need to watch them 24/7.
• Even though Han Solo would take all of the blame if Chewbacca did
something wrong, he stills lets him make decisions on his own
which is a very good laissez-faire leader.
WILLY WONKA-WILLY WONKA AND THE
CHOCOLATE FACTORY
• Willy Wonka lets his Oompa Loompas do their own work all
the time in his factory. He also lets his Oompa Loompas say
anything they want when a child almost dies in his chocolate
factory.
• After the tour with all the children, he just gives his whole
factory making millions of dollars to a little kid named Charlie
who doesn’t know what he’s doing. The amount of trust in
Willy that he gave to Charlie was insane.
Democratic
Leaders
CAPTAIN JEAN LUC PICARD-STAR TREK
• Caption Picard is a great democratic leader because he
always asks for his team’s opinions and isn’t selfish when it
comes to important decisions.
• He likes to test his team to help them grow more and
experience a lot of different challenges so they will know
what to do if he’s gone.
• If Captain Picard ever gets overwhelmed by a challenge, he
often asks his friends and team to help him because good
leaders ask for their team’s opinions.
YODA-STAR WARS
• Yoda shows a lot of signs for a democratic leader like how he
always asks his padawans what they would like to do and he
always boosts their strength in the force.
• As leader of the Jedi Council, Yoda listens to everyone else’s
ideas or concerns before putting his in front. The Jedi Council
is a group of Jedi that come together and make decisions with
each other and not on their own.
