INTRODUCTION
 The term organizational culture is defined as beliefs,
understandings, held by a particular group or
organization about its problems, practices, and goals.
 Culture also refers to an organization’s values, beliefs,

business principles, traditions, ways of operating and


internal work environment.

INDUSTRY PROFILE
 Telecommunication is a term coming from Greek word
which means “communication at distance”.
 India’s telecommunication network is the second largest in the

world based on total number of telephone users. It has the worlds


third largest Internet user base.
 Today telecom sector of India is the fastest growing market in

the world. Indian telecom sector has more than 165 years old.
 Telecommunication was first introduced in India in 1851. the

first operational land lines were laid by the government near


Kolkata.

COMPANY PROFILE

 Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (known as BSNL) is a public


sector telecommunication company, its headquarters is in New
Delhi, India .

 Mr. Anupam Shrivastav is a Chairman & MD of BSNL.


BSNL is the largest provider of fixed telephony and largest
broadband service provider with more than 60% market share.

It was incorporated in 15th September 2000 and took over


the business of providing telecom services and network
management from erstwhile central government departments
of telecom services(DTS)and telecom operations(DTO) with
effect from 1st October 2000.

NEED FOR THE STUDY

A study on organization culture helps to know the values of


the organization, to understand the behavior of the employees
towards their job.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

 The scope of the study is only confined to BSNL ,


Anantapuram only.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
 To study the organizational culture at BSNL.
 To study the various attitudes of the employees
towards their jobs at BSNL.
 To study the working environment of BSNL.

LIMITATIONS
The study is limited to BSNL Ananthpur only.

Few of the employees have not shown interest in


giving responses due to the busy schedule.

 90% of the employees feel that their organization encourages their

 80% of the employees said that employees maintain good relations with each
other.
 88% of the employees think that the organizational culture change the
behavior of the employee.
 75% of the employees said that team success is celebrated as group
achievement.

culture of BSNL .

SUGGESTIONS
 It is suggested that the organization should
keep flexible shift timings for the employees
 It is suggested that organization should give

freedom to take decisions regarding their


work.

CONCLUSION
 It can be conclude that a strong and positive culture has a
great impact on employee performance and a good culture
makes an employee attitude positive towards the organization
for this make the employees to feel free to take correct
decision regarding their work and feel free to participate in
groups and feel free to communicate with employees all these
are done by providing good culture. It can be achieve by
incorporating the suggestions given here in at individual and
organization level.
