Are the physiotherapists at
Bangladesh using bobath
approach in a proper way for
stroke patients to provide a
proper treatment and to get
a proper prognosis?
 Aim of the study
 

Bobath approach is very a useful approach for stoke rehabilitation. So

it is very important to take a review of it among the physiotherapists of
Bangladesh. It can help us to identify the use of bobath approach
among the physiotherapists of Bangladesh for stroke rehabilitation
and it can also help the physiotherapists to improve their skills and
also encourage to use bobath approach for stroke rehabilitation to
provide much more better service to our patients.
 
Study objectives
 To identify that the physiotherapists at Bangladesh are using
bobath approach for stroke rehabilitation or not

 To identify if they are using it then in which extent

 To identify that the physiotherapists at Bangladesh are maintaining

the international standard for using bobath approach to provide
proper treatment and get a proper prognosis

Cross sectional study is selected to
conduct this study. A cross-sectional
study is a descriptive study in which
disease and exposure status is measured
simultaneously in a given population and
the most important advantage are it is
quick and cheap (Song & Chung, 2010).

Study site and study area


This study will be conducted with several

professional physiotherapists from junior to
senior level specifically around Dhaka and Savar
area. Most of them will be working at Government
and Non-Government hospitals, Non Government
Organizations, Physiotherapy centers and Stroke
rehabilitation centers.

 Study population and sampling
Sampling refers to the process of selecting the
subjects/individual. A population refers to the entire group
of people or items that meet the criteria set by the
researcher. Purposive sampling methods will be used in this
study as there are some inclusion and exclusion criteria.

 Inclusion criteria:
• Age range 26-55 years

 Data collection methods and tools
Data will be collected by face to face
interview. A predefined pretested
questionnaire will be used to collect
the data.
